According to the new CA plan president, we will see some more “best tightening” by “role consolidation” and eliminating anything duplicative that MHC does that can be done by MHI. Anyone know any more, e.g. which departments will be a focus? I’m assuming this means some significant but targeted layoffs...

Yes this is true. There is another medium lay-off coming. Hopefully it won’t be too massive. Corp. has let go of so many already, other bldgs are moving to the Long Beach location and many people will be let go. Don’t be surprise if some are fired with no benefits and some are laid off with benefits (i.e. a separation packages & unemployment). Looks like Healthcare services, provider services, and possibly contracting will be hit. There are a few “leaders” I work with that need to be fired, yesterday. Stay tuned.
Yes. This is what August is all about I suspect. I'm at Corp and I can tell tell many more firings are around the corner. Lots of folks exiting as we speak.
My region stopped all OT this week. All departments. Starting to fire folks on written. IS THIS COMING FROM CORP?
Just CA? They are corporate. It should be the whole enterprise. We are sinking and we do not have a single person who knows what they are doing... they all run to each other like scared children. What did we do? What do we do?
My superiors were in a meeting with him last week and they told us “hold on tight” and be ready for a major shake up coming in CA.
Agree, some of the the friends of the Molina’s that are still sitting around- need to go.
I can think of a dept at the CA Health Plan that is a total waste of money, don't know squat and don't do squat. Never wants to be held accountable.
Well I can see it coming. So many over populated departments.... work down ( shut up cm) a lot of downtime . Paying people to smoke and stand around. And still.... we have the most backwards system.... so consolidating will be interesting.
So who is next on the chopping block? Got be the old timers right??
