Where’s the news on company layoffs??? Why am I reading an endless string of complaining about nearly everything about the job. If it’s that bad go somewhere else. With attitudes like this, if there were to be layoffs you would be first on the list to go. Shameful
PS: in my state you can file for partial unemployment ! So, if CVS cuts your hours too much, go ahead and file for it !!!
It's not much but, it's all about (as one poster states) optics . This goes on government report as unemployment therefore, looks bad on CVS !!!

They just cut hours until people leave ! This way they don't have to pay unemployment and no bad press !!!
OP, seems like you expected this is to be some kind of a news portal and got disappointed to see it’s not. Nevertheless, if you are looking for the news about the layoffs you’ve gotten to the right place - all relevant corporate info comes here first, likely even before it’s shared with your direct manager, and way sooner it brakes into newspapers. It may look a little bit messy at first, as this is just an informal discussion board. Info comes here in form of signs and rumors, followed up by high number of replies and upvotes. Stay long enough and you’ll learn how to read it.
Stock price has been cut in half the last four years...CVS isn’t fooling anyone. Investors know exactly what kind of company this is.
The self checkouts are 200 mil in payroll deductions but not advertisied as a layoff. They are out there but not formalized
With all these crazy hours cuts, it’s only a matter of time before something happens. Just what I’m not sure. Perhaps hours get cut so much, that there will be accidental layoffs. As in sorry we don’t have any hours for you this week, and people quit. If they quit, even due to lack of hours, then it’s not a lay-off, and corporate doesn’t look bad. Optics my friends, optics. Or, enough people quit, and a store has to close due to lack of personnel. Closing a store due to lack of available employees, is not a corporate store closing. Again optics my friends. Something will happen, just as long as it doesn’t make corporate look bad. Unless of course Judge Leon throws a monkey wrench into things which he just might...
