Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

This makes no sense

I think we all believe the layoffs are coming but did not expect them to be that massive. Why are they talking about training for Live Healthy if they are just canning everyone? What a colossal waste of everyone's time! Does that include HCMss, RSs and CHEs? Will they completely eliminate RS and CHE? I doubt they will eliminate SSs.

This has been on my mind a lot as well, @OsbAMNL-1efy . What is the point of it all? I can't keep track of everything that is being eliminated by now. Are they just trying to lull us into a false sense of security with talks of things to be, so there are no disruptions while they implement layoffs?

Honestly so many of our co workers are clueless on whats going on, its goung to be hige shock for so many, my co workers dont anything during meeting, make statemenrs like" job security through the year" or 2.0 makes sense to them and they r excited! Most have no mefical/social work bavkgrounds.....they are buying new hiuses, and cars and expanding their families..... I feel bad for them

The COM being offline makes since if she was laid off but not the missing picture. They would give her 2 months notice first.

It would make sense there would be no need for a SH COM after merging into LH. But wasn't she just recently placed in that position?

SH PHC here. My com has been offline since yesterday (KT). She no longer has a picture on Skype. So many questions... I'm just ready for this bandaid to be pulled!

Something will happen.... It makesno sense to keep the amount of staff per member ratio...they just needed us that are left to smooth the transition over and then we willbe dumped. Upper management jumped shipped for acreadin, too bad they didnt have the integrity to stay and watch what their messes created

I know it is terrifying to think about being laid off but no one is ever guaranteed a job for life at any company. I know people who have quit their job at one insurance company due to rumors of layoff and then got laid off at the next company. And got less severance because of it. You have to stay as level headed as possible here so you can make your best decision at the time. Going down the path of indignation is a dead end and won't change what will happen. Expecting coaches and management to leak information in advance is naive and unrealistic. They aren't not telling you to be mean. There is a significant change being made to the model as it was out of control ... inefficient, too expensive, and getting diminished returns. It's the people who ran it before that are at fault as much as anyone.

The 12:30 meeting yesterday was for in home leadership. It did happen. We were told layoffs will occur today. MF and team met yesterday afternoon to notify his leaders. All layoffs will be to telephonic associates.

I honestly do not think they do not know what anyone does anymore. There is so many people calling one person. I am assigned to a person (as all of us can agree to) and they said this person called and this person called. Mind you no notes anywhere I can find... doing the same thing I am doing. Talk about overload/ waste of money. You need to have one contact person that does everything... granted a lot of work... but job security and one contact.. not 5.

Let's wait and see what happens. We all think we know what is coming but nothing has happened yet. No meeting yesterday at 12:30, no confidential emails yet and no WF update.

Their goal is to get as much production out of you until the hammer drops. It's a business and they only care about the business not about the human beings that are affected.

Once you are given notice you will be threatened to be fired if you don't keep up with metrics. That's what they did to us in the last layoff.

They did the same thing with CGX 2.0. trained a slew of people who ended up getting laid off anyway. Makes no sense
