If your club did not receive a cash counting machine, it's probably closing

Let me just say this I do work in a 100 million Club as a Recieving teamlead and I don’t have much to do doing the daytime but cleanup after people.... It’s just me and my clerk.... The only time we be busy is Tuesday and Thursday which is cigarette and candy days

.... I been working overnight for the last 2month and my clerk is the only one doing the day that’s how slow the Recieving is.... I have no dock associate and the only thing I do is receive ups and fedex sometime we have books etc..... so what I’m saying is that this could be a done with just a full and part time person doing the day.....💯💯💯

Latest news regarding receiving changes!

Receiving Clerk position eliminated, all remaining work shifted to Team Lead. Team Lead hours shifted to 4-Noon. Those unable to take the new hours can choose to have their hours cut to fit (so a 5-Noon shift) or find another position in the club. NO SEVERANCE OFFERED FOR LEADS OR CLAIMS. Since the hours adjustment isn't extreme enough they're refusing severance for these positions if they don't take the adjustments. Team Lead and claims will handle all 4-noon workload.

Night shift receivers may choose to switch to 4p-Midnight shift (2 total positions) or take severance package and leave if there are no alternate jobs. No overnight positions available.

two unloaders at night , wow...we desperately need two unloaders at night but our manager allows the rec person to get help only in the most extreme situations....on a normal night our rec person is so stressed you can see the weariness in their face...all this while newer associates are allowed to piddle about and accomplish near zero output...the clubs are unraveling , coming apart at the seams ...at some point like dominoes the clubs will fall ..there will be more and more failures due to mismanagement...local management will blame the workers but it will be management's fault...80 percent of club problems are...at some point less workers with less pay will just not work...but..like good little drones local management passes along home office direction as if just saying words causes action to take place..here single person do this entire reset by yourself and by the way it needs done before end of shift and..all your regular duties need done too...what do you mean you could not get it done? you had eight magic hours in which 26 hours of work should have been easy to get done..you do know that Harry Potter magic is real don't you?..we say words and you magically get it all done so we can say to home office yep WE got it done.................CIM is a joke , only night crew bothers to do it but gets the blame from day shift when something can't be found..........on and on I could go but my rant has come to an end...

We have only been open for 3yrs and not a good location if you ask me.I transferred from a busy club to this one because it was closer.Im a rec tl and I’ve worked night and day shifts the last couple of months.I have 2 unloaders at night and 1 on days.My clerk and I know our days are numbered because of the shift in our daily duties-non of which involves receiving. One night unloaded helps out on floor picking up freight

Slow down are you crazy !! Not in our club. If your lead is sitting for eight hours then something is wrong. Our lead never sits for more than ten minutes all day long. More work less people that is what it is all about.

We have 1 night person, 1 daytime dock petson and a TL. No clerk. Our TL is also the clerk. They empty DC freight , load pallet trucks, and all other daytime deliveries. The TL does a lot of stuff that audit used to do. Not sure how cutting receiving is gonna help the company. Get rid of all full timers and bring in all part timers is what i see happening.

My clerk and I stock on floor and do other projects our GM has us do.We are mentally checked out as well, but trying to be positive.Seems like they are just finding stuff for us to do.I sense it might be soon. But on a brighter note,I wanna wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

amen.....these people don't know what even happens in receiving club manager never comes to that part of building when we the receiving areas have been a very important part of the clubs with no thanks. And John Furner has the nerve to send an email out thanking everyone and that the changes they have made already are paying off. So what when people are worrying about their lively hoods and him and Geisel are flying around sending texts with cartoon figures.

We have not slowed down...our club barely slows after the new year...just a bit,,,in fact it is a joke in our club..each year that yammer on about slow time but the freight load stays the same...so fewer people with fewer hours have to more work at a break neck pace to get done..our night receiving only has one person per night..if we lose day T/L and the clerk it will be literally impossible for the one person at night to get everything done...we have deliveries all day long ...beer , wine , ups , fed ex , tires , pepsi , some times paper and water....our dayshift checks in Mclanes...if night receiving has to do even just the Mclanes it will overwhelming.....

My clerk and I are busy all day. Started getting lawn and garden stuff and trying to regroup from last weekend. Slow down not yet they are going to keep sending for IBS and new season till middle of January and then it stops. At this point how can we really care they will let us know when they are ready. I think the clerks job will be part time and if the do away with nite crew I'm a gonner (rec t/l)

Slowing down? Our receiving team leader literally sits down for eight hours in the office because she has nothing to do. They've moved more and more to the night shift so there's nothing left for her and she's already mentally checked out and gone.
