Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

Package updates Voluntary Separation?

North central Florida seems to be the last to know who is getting approved or involuntarily laid off. Packages deadline was 5/18 still as of today no word on how many are approved or not. Does anyone have any insight? I've got workers that are anxiously waiting because management isn't telling anyone . Union says be patient but any insight would be nice.

The new “CenturyLink” will stress out their existing employees, if you can survive the swing of the ax.

June 8th last day, craft in N central Florida last day next Friday. You heard it here first you will get notice at COB today or Monday. Your supervisor that has been keeping it a secret will let you know. But supervisors will be done the same way they did their employees. Karma a bad cycle.

Wow, that's how Central Florida is going. Went to Max and customers suffer more now than ever. Can't even get an order rescheduled for correct date and time. Customers take off work and we never show. I'm thinking last day for packages will be this or next Friday they can't keep it a secret forever. Understand they think they will get more work out of u if they wait...I can yell u that's is wrong. People feel it's unethical and do BARE MINIMUM!! If they would tell them they would know what's going on and feel respected and help the SRO. Get their commitments. However if the job is due by 12pm. They are taking lunch or break and closing after the 12pm time. Customer back up so they not suffering but the numbers do. Hint hint, how about you reveal the magical numbers? Glad people are coming on here to give information the company won't release...thanks

Done deal in mid Atlantic region. Yesterday (5/31) was last day for those who took package. The package was granted to everybody who submitted in my local union. We have one town that went from 6 techs to 2 techs and lost both cable many techs. No word on how or if they are getting replaced. Meanwhile, 2 techs left are holding double digit tasks due today. Not good for the customer, tech, union or company!!
