Home Services is a profitable part of Sears. Unfortunately it was not profitable enough to keep retail stores afloat. In Home service is worth more, as a whole, then it would be if it is closed and assets sold. Someone including Ed might want to purchase it or just purchase some of the more profitable districts in the country. Dozens of 3rd party entities rely on Sears Home Services to uphold and fulfill their clients needs. Sears collects significant revenue from these services. Millions of service calls from B2B Clients and customers with cash in hand will not get service without these employees.
Home Services has value and I believe someone will pay the right price for it.
Having said this, If In Home Service is dissolved, their will be a massive need for the technicians to become their own bosses and help the various Warranty companies and manufacturers meet their legal obligations.
