Any details on who will be impacted?

@ylo People are working from home today as usual. Maybe just specific departments were told not to work from home.
Wouldn’t be surprised. Probably bringing back photo processing.
It was about the 200 new stores we will open in old Fotomat locations.
Is this happening at corporate? What was the meeting about?
Maybe the wood used for the offices to be boxed and resold to pay for salaries. Associates can sit in a circle on the carpet and work.
If you want to speculate, I would say the order of operations:
-
Troublemakers and underperformers
-
People in redundant or non-critical positions
-
People in departments that won't be needed during Chapter 11 proceedings
Those will likely be the first to go. So if you rubbed people the wrong way, did not "fit in" and were largely unremarkable or if you were in a stagnant position, generally passed up for promotions or even lateral moves or are in a position/role that could be cut without any impact to the day-to-day running, one of those boxes is probably yours.
Survivors for another day would be folks that perform well, or have a good reputation with upper management, folks in roles critical to the day-to-day or will be needed for the bankruptcy.
This is pretty much Survivor end-game, as Sears management makes the call on who will be part of the skeleton transition crew to help transition from bankruptcy to restructure or bankruptcy to liquidation.
xit, thanks for a much needed laugh, awesome line!
Extra security guards at entrances that are normally unmanned, HE police vehicle by the main entrance, boxes by the printers. It’s happening.
Supposedly an email went out last night telling people that there was a mandatory meeting at X time. No one was to work from home. Not sure if there is more planned for tomorrow. But the security guards at the entrances, where there usually aren't any are always the giveaway.
I just got the call i am supposed to be at HE first thing tomorrow morning. My swamp draining business has never been better
Count up number of boxes divide by two ( avg. per peep ) thats how many peeps gonna bite the dust 😧
Hp just wants their printers back
no matter the number or who is walked out, everyone will be impacted in one way or another.
