Yes everyone is so excited for the layoffs , we are waiting with excitement. Everyone is shouting PICK ME , PICK ME.. Some employees are even willing to remove their pants and flash their a--. Just wow ! Layoffs were never that fun before !.We learn so many new things in BNY on a daily basis that you don't get to see anywhere !
They generally do the laying off after the mid month pay cycle ends. Wait for next week.
Monday 3/11 has arrived. Did people from your unit get laid off today?
I feel like I have to make it appear I'm getting my assigned work done even though the direction from the top is constantly changing. Is the work I'm doing today going to be needed tomorrow? That's how quickly it could all go south. I don't get the sense of a structured plan for moving forward; either that or we're not getting the message in one piece. Feels disjointed how what's coming from the top is reaching the rest of us.
Yes...they will continue until the company is right sized = cut cost. A lot more money is going to technology so if you're there AND YOUNG aka make little money you are ok. If you're in operations it's just a matter of time

Let me tell you, I am a victim of being laid off. My first reaction was how could this happen to me. As time has gone by, I say thank God it has happened to me. The organization has been declining for years. The working conditions & atmosphere is atrocious. From what I read and know from insiders, it gets worse every day. They clearly do not care anymore about their employees or the quality of work.
Is anybody getting any work done any more?
