Mix it up. Rename and acronym everything. Here they come.
They will surely be followed by shadow layoffs and cuts of groups as well.

My understanding is that large layoffs will no longer be done and smaller ones will be hidden under the guise of "reorganization" etc. This avoids bad publicity etc. I've already seen it happen recently...My recommendation is to buckle your seatbelt and make sure your resume is up to date.
40 + have let go and find other jobs outside of Intel.
