I believe the stats for Big O is true for jobs with Software Engineer as title. The author probably excluded other IC2 jobs with MTS titles. I guess the orgs that use SE title pays on average more than the Orgs that uses MTS

one of the many tropes here is that Oracle is replacing the laidoff with cheaper hires. That can't be further from the truth.

It depends on where the replacements are hired. If they are hired in the Bay Area then yeah, Oracle has to be competitive. But they can hire people outside the US for far less, especially in places like India.

I suspect that only new hires in the cloud business units are paid that much.

Long time managers are quitting because they're interviewing to hire people that will be starting out making more money than they are.

Yeah, work for a company for 10+ years, hire a new engineer to work for you that's making more than you are? BUHbye.

Yeah, don't believe anyone who says they're getting rid of long time employees to hire cheaper replacements. they're paying more for the untrained noobs.

I wouldn’t believe anything posted on dice.com. It is an ad, bought and paid for.

I've been saying this for a while now:
