Agreement employees are screwed

After listening to our executives brag about how they have reduced the workforce by 8% so far this year and that they want to be at 10%- the writing is on the wall. Here’s the kicker though, everyone asking questions pushed them to do more and faster. Make no mistake brothers, Wall Street is running this show and wants as many of us gone as fast as possible. Vena even said he “hated Proviso for years”. I mean volume is down and the stock price is still going up. We are so screwed!

They treat their managers like garbage I feel sorry for the guys...its one step above a limo driver. Feel really bad for them. Show your driver some love with a gas station taquito.

I know what you're saying, but I can understand why agreement dislikes managers. historically UP has rewarded managers with high coaching rates. thankfully they got rid of that stupid program from what I understand. and yes most educated young managers leave within 6 years and most of these within the first year or two. the field management position is c-ap.

I don't get this management v. agreement thing at UP. Junior field managers get dumped on and kicked around constantly by upper management. Everything about the job except for the stress levels is below average, especially the pay ($90k/year for 70 hour weeks is not good money).

If I would have known what UP meant when they said "operations manager" I would have spared myself the trouble and walked out of the interview. Babysitting people and writing them up isn't managing.

I don’t know why the managers hate the agreement employees. In any business the foremen make slightly more than the working employees. And the manager makes slightly more that the foreman. Probably 15% or so. If they didn’t pay the agreement employees as well the managers wouldn’t make as much either.

Dont pack yet they will never be able to totally shut down proviso. Nobody has ever came up with a rational thought on how they can only making statements saying they are gonna. Back it up instead of spreading more bs

I'm not disagreeing with you. We are screwed but vena has been here a year what possible reason does he have to hate proviso more than that. That's what everyone says about their location so and so has hated this location for ever and everyone says it. Vena hates agreement employees
