Good Day Folks, here is the hard truth. If you are a part of the global technology stack, you will most likely be a part of a managed service moving forward. The vendor may vary but all technology roles will be carried by a vendor moving forward. Very few will exist within the company itself. Technology roles within other business units, your fate will depend based on the unit itself and the requirement for the role. As JR said earlier this year, "technology is expensive"! The company also understands its NOT a technology company as it struggles to identify itself among a group of highly competitive and successful peers. So prepare accordingly. This is a simple "if / then". If you are in technology, then prepare for impact now.

The only thing we seem to hear these days from BD and Senior Management is what new executive was promoted or what new Senior Executive and Management was just hired. So sad they hire all this Senior Management and McKinsey at the same time. Then you come to this site and learn of all the RIF's going on. Senior Management is smoking something and whatever it is isn't for the good of the working employees.
I wish they'd say this in a town hall. But I suppose this is good enough, as the grapevine knows to come here for the truth instead of seeing emails about which new overpaid exec was hired today.
