I got booted out the door right before my 10 years.thinning of the heard.
I received my pin and used it to play 'pin the tail on the "synonym" -> for biblical beast of burden'
- k.a. crossword puzzle clue – Three letters - starts with an 'A'
Last gift i got was for 35. Only pin for 40, not even the plaque they used to give. (Also stopped at 35)
Congrats! Does Sears still give a gift ? I chose nice set of luggage at 30 yrs. Get what you can while you can!
Last year I recieved my 45 year pin in the mail ! A week after I was let go.
@1jiz I saved them the trouble with my pins. I told them to just keep them or throw them away. I could care less about them. They're just cheap costume jewelry pins anyway.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Thank you for your service to this company! When I made it to 10 years at Kmart last year nothing was said. I asked my HR about the 10 year pin and she point blank told me she “always just throws those in the trash when they come in because no one seems to care about them” wow, just wow.
40 years flies by fast, to hold on that long is truly commendable. I guarantee more people than you may imagine we’re positively impacted by you. Rock on my friend!

It was not all wasted. Most of the years were wonderful and I made many lasting friendships. It's just so sad that this us what it has come to!!
I feel so sorry that you wasted 40 years of your life with this company...seriously.
Celebrated 30 years last week. No one cared and neither do I. Most if not all of the old timers are gone.. I plan on retiring when I’m 67, just need to hold on for 2 more years
