@2phw, the package is you're on payroll (with health care, 401K vesting, etc.) for 60 days. This is because of California law. So for 60 days, you are as if you are still working and receiving a paycheck.
After 60 days, you are officially terminated. You get a severance package. It's 4 weeks minimum. You get an additional week for every 1 year you worked. So someone with 5 years at Huawei would get 4+5 (9) weeks total.
Not bad, better than the packages at EMC or Dell. I'm kinda surprised a Chinese company was this generous.
