Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

Anyone know when they are announcing Q2 Earnings? Why so quiet?

They seem very quiet about when they will announce earnings. They haven't even announced what day they will release numbers. Seems to validate the rumors the numbers are crashing and customers are fleeing. I assumed they would be eager to announce since they got creative with the numbers. Not sure what they will do for this quarter since they won't be able to move money around forever and there's not much left to cut.

1qyu - I would agree. My belief has been all along that the strategy from the beginning was to sell the company as a whole or in pieces. The only flaw to that is what do we have that anyone would want. Especially since "competition" is well over a decade ahead as far as technology, innovation and talent. The long they wait to sell this disaster the less value it will have.

@qfl - As a certain member of the senior leadership team often quoted during his time at ADI : "Don't confuse effort with results"

There may be "a lot of people attempting to work hard and deliver", but if they are trying to stop night following day in a business with fundamentally flawed strategies then they unlikely to succeed in the medium to long term. And if the supporting infrastructure resource is ripped out to generate short-term cost savings, then the chance of recovery becomes even less likely.

My prediction is that the two divisions will inevitably end up being sold separately and absorbed within other companies already trading in the same sectors.

@qfl - they just aren't in senior leadership roles. They have been too busy moving and going around hyping the small acquisitions that they have been working hard on.

All the dates that earnings are being announced are usually scheduled ahead of time for the entire year. It’s always usually in the middle of the second month of the following quarter and has maintained a fairly regular schedule. So let’s keep the rumor-spreading and false assumptions to a minimum and stick with facts. As rough as a first year as these types of companies usually have, there are a lot of people actually attempting to work hard and deliver.
