i am reading that there will be cuts in September but I see many openings within GT&O? Someone please explain why is that.

Same here, I have posted for 11 positions and checked yes my job is going away and only received one interview. The rest I received emails stating they decided to go with another candidate. I am the sole income for my family and because I am MY Work its being held against me. I fear every Wednesday!

the way you get hired is you need to have a godfather. kind of like a big brother that looks out for you. you'll notice a manager gets promoted, then takes all of his minions with him. anyone in the way gets knocked over or pushed aside. here's a good clue: it's not a meritocracy.

same experience here. HR gives the run around. very unprofessional, deceitful, unresponsive. learned most of the job postings are bogus, meaning they already have the hire lined up for the position in advance so the posting is just a formality. you never had a chance in the first place, so don't waste your time. i also think there is a decent probability that some employees are on some kind of blacklist of some sort.
HR here is TERRIBLE! Last year I posted twice and both times, several I went on 2 interviews than silence for month!!! When I finally heard back, one was filled the other they made an offer and were waiting to see if it was accepted. Unbelievable the way they carelessly string people along who's career or ability to make money are hanging on their decision making. Very rude and unprofessional! I'm done looking internally.
There will always be jobs open so the laid off workers can grasp at them. Meanwhile I’ve posted for a job and received an email saying I was selected for an interview. But weeks have passed and no interview invite. I reach out to the HR rep, and I get no response. HR is so useless.
It's the same song and dance. Layoff the older workers, hire younger workers at half the pay. Yeah, they're hiring all right.
Some people's month bills depends on layoffs.
Gto slt are a bunch of inept, self imposed blindfolded, report mongering, non technologies who don't know how to motivate good workers much less run a technology organization. This place is so toxic and filled with politics they make white House look like Disney Land.
Always living in fear of next layoff is no way to live/work at all. Live free or die.
