There is a silent exodus going on and nobody seems to care... Best people are leaving on a daily bases, and I'm sure more are about to leave... I'm wondering what Verizon will look like when they succeed in their attempt to rid the company of everybody with any knowledge and experience - through layoffs and creating an environment that encourages people to leave on their own.
They might be surprised by the end result.
Just get all the training you can python ansible, Openstack. If something does happen you’ll have the skills to get a job really quick

The talent left several years ago. Look at Vz product offerings. Yeah...nothing new. 5G is only a Mirage in the distance. Only thing left is the scavengers picking the bones dry.

They will not be surprised by the end result. It is the objective; move out any original thinkers and only keep or hire yes people. Two directors have told me clearly that VZ 2.0 is about getting along and NOT results. In fact we had Hans explain how a C was a good grade and all the yes executives were on board. Denny would 🤮 if he saw the current leadership and their philosophy.
The only thing that will surprise this cast is when the stock lags (and it is) and they are moved out. That will take a lot of time sadly
I don't think they'll be at all surprised. They will hire new people to backfill positions that are critical and from an executive position, it doesn't matter how long they take to ramp up. The only people to EVER feel the pain are the employees. Outgoing or incoming.
