Yes many many layoffs have occurred and will continue to occur this month. There will be a lot more in November. Stay tuned because it's not going to end for a long time. Sad but true

Ah yeah there will be some RIF's this month and more through the end of the year. In addition, there will be more Senior Executives hired( their Buddies) and with that some more newly created positions. So with that said they must do more RIF's

My guess is lay-offs next week as it is a pay period and end of qtr.... I am sure we will be on boarding more executives though....

Even senior folks are disillusioned working there. They don't leave voluntarily for one reason. The STI and LTI are vested when they leave. I still laugh at the OHI being sent out. I can summarize the responses from people I know in one sentence. AIG is a soul crushing mosh pit.

to Post ID: @10DK0UiI-aujy. I wouldn't bank my money on that. Invest in a company that isn''t transparent and is going to do more RIF's in Sept and 4th Qtr. I have little respect for what BD and Senior Management, Upper Management are doing to this company. Just wait and see

He is correct as it relates to the stock price and expenses. This will be the only way we make a fair bonus. so I am buying the stock now

If layoffs in Sept. that will reduce expenses and will improve the bottom-line. Stock prices up up up.
Thank You BD

focus on buying low selling at 56/57. Lay offs will only help the bottom-line. Green for the quarter again.

AIG is a layoff factory they grind through employees like a meat grinder and pay big money to consultants to tell them how to cut expenses... grossly over rated company ... I noticed they were not among the 100 companies to sign the agreement to make employees priority...it would be hypocritical if they did so I’ll give em that

Olathe share service will have their layoff for on august 23rd then the next one is on December 13. Let's be real though... AIG will continue find a way to make profit even if it means they have to cut jobs lower than grade 25 while fill in external roles for executive roles with increase bonus checks.

To "Hmmm....", I noticed the same under the "Sad Board" thread.
There was a post saying "Layoffs this week in IT. Don't be surprised they are laying off hundreds more in IT by year end ...". A few hours after I saw it, it has been removed.
This is VERY strange indeed...

There was a posting yesterday on this site about people being layed off in Boston. Now it has been removed. The long arm of AIG reached this site? Very suspicious.

I haven't heard of any. I heard they are going to pick up in September. In light of that, maybe BD will give us the whole day off on 8/31 instead of a half day. If you take it as a PTO day, you lose the half day that we were given.
