It’s about time that someone has had the courage to clean up Lowes. We have been running the same for years and getting our butt kicked by depot. It’s hard for people to hear but there is plenty of lazy , overconfident , entitled people that need to go and be replaced by hungry , aggressive and grateful people. Just read the posts on this board and you will see the attitude that has let depot kick out rear for years.

The country already has a Home Depot. Stop chasing Moby D–k.. A great Lowe's once existed but it will soon have been churned into dust by it's leader quest to catch the impossible. Lowe's needs some real visionary leaders to step into their own unique success. Chasing stock targets is sinking the ship. Give investors realistic expectations not about how you are gonna catch home Depot.

For whom. When the stock accidentally went up, hundreds of thousands of small investors dumped their stock. Including many thousands that work at Lowe’s.
Institutional investors (the ones on the quarterly conference calls asking softball questions) are the only ones who could think draconian cost cuts and heartless MASS LAYOFFS are actually “working “ to make Lowe’s great again. Oh and I almost forgot the stock buybacks meant to boost stock “value “.
I have a question for all you Marv fans. Have you ever seen anything at a Lowe’s store you couldn’t buy at Home Depot or a Menards?
But I know for sure there are lots of things you can buy at Home Depot and Menards that you will never find at Lowe’s!!
So, in the absence of outstanding service (which we are no longer staffed to provide) why would you shop where selections are limited and prices are the same or higher?
I wouldn’t and I don’t. Pro customer service is a joke at Lowe’s. I had a customer come to where I work now and say he was coming to me now because his Lowe’s store had really gone down hill in the last year or so. The last straw? The bathroom was filthy and no one seems to care at Lowe’s anymore.
So Marvin has made changes that have ruined morale and store conditions I salute your stupidity.
what you fail to recognize is called "integration". you mash many point together and come to a wrong statement / conclusion. we all agrtee that SOME change is good - whe it makes sense!
but what marv is doing, only hurts the company.
we can no longer serve customers at the store level and have NO staff. every area of operations is an "F". Deliveries, front end, etc
we are in the SERVICE industry, and marv has crippled that primary. all the other minutia he addresses is just fluff and isnt relevant.

— many on here quit and went onto better jobs. We come to show the hard working Lowe’s associates there is light away from Lowe’s. Much more money, nicer clients, customers, and better pay. The only associates that will remain at Lowe’s are the misguided, unemployable, and lazy. Marvin has freed us to bet better, and we are.

Remember the days when Cramer on NBC touted the money grubber at Sears Holdings, “Buy just one share!” Well, how did that work out. Cramer will probably start that dog and pony show with Lowe’s

I agree, and I’ve been gone for several years due to my own position being eliminated. Too many people think that companies exist to provide THEM with employment and benefits. The company desperately needed new blood, especially in the executive ranks. Go Marvin!
