Thread regarding Walgreens layoffs

FY20 Business Planning & Compensation Information - ALL Pharmacists Urged to Attend

Got this for a conference call later this week for my area. Surely this will be our yearly no raise call (or worse)?

Their whole reasoning is based on supply and demand. They couldn't care less about keeping veteran pharmacists; the longer their years of service the more they cost the company in PTO costs. I'm sure corporate would rather have all veteran full time pharmacists quit or get fired so they could hire new pharmacists at a lower wage and keep them all at part time with no benefits.

The precedent of giving no raises was started 3 years ago, and how did that hurt Walgreens? Answer, It didn't. Instead, it helped them. Was there a concerted uproar or rebellion by pharmacists, no.

And now, sadly, it's the norm. The time to seriously DO SOMETHING was 3 years ago.

How is that we don’t get raises for 3 years. I’ve never heard of such BS excuse to back up their reasoning. We made 10 Billion dollars last year in profits and yet they act like we lost Billions. Just a disgrace of a company to work for.
