Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Joke of the industry

Halliburton has finally made it to the top of the list as the Joke of the oil industry. They pay their workers less than any other service provider and keep taking incentives to stay working with them away. The per diem is a joke also. Workers struggle to to keep afloat with hour cuts and schedules that change weekly, while management keeps on earning what they always have. Guess that's what happens when it's really not the work you do but who you are buddy buddy with.

I agree completely. I feel bad for them because they were clearly d–g into a position that they were not competent to preform and they have no desire or ambition to improve. There is so much waste and corruption because management won’t do there job. They have their position and they just want to sit in the office, draw their check, and they don’t want to be bothered. All along we are trying to tell them that the company is burning down around us and no one will listen until it’s to late.

It’s the corporate mentality they are only concerned about the shareholders. In reality if you concentrate on your business and your doing good then so will your shareholders. They also fired all of the management that knew the oil industry and replaced them with cheap engineering graduates who know nothing about our industry so we are just gradually digging a hole that we cannot get out of because they don’t know what to do.

Over the past 25 years (or more) I've ombre to the conclusion that Hal has some of the worst leadership.
