Closed Campus
Assistant Admissions Director (Former Employee) – High Point, NC – July 15, 2019
South University was deceptive and ill-managed.
This place had a horrible Admission manager who lacked vision and any other sort of management skills within the Higher Education sector. The admissions advisors stole leads and misguided students with the wrong information about financial aid and preparations for earning a degree.
Financial aid department had the worst counselors who lacked customer service. The district director was absolutely mindless and careless. She didn't support ethically handling of students, just enrollments. The gossip in the office area was ridiculous and belittling. The campus president was "clueless". I'm glad that they shut down this place. They need to shut down South Carolina campus as well.

My husband was a department chair in a now-closed program in Columbia. After giving 13 years, and several with AI Atlanta, he was unceremoniously laid off with not so much as a goodbye. He called it the “death march,” having to teach out his students to the end of what they could take in their major. He had been told he would receive a severance package, only to find out a week before his last day that “the agreement you made was with EDMC,” not with the Dream Syndicate or its new receivership. I can’t tell you how much venom I have for the unscrupulous people who recruit and run South University. My husband, now in his mid 60s, is essentially unemployable from the kiss of death being associated with this racket. I hope they go down in ruins.
