- cheap little pen and pencil set for my "5 years of service" award. I started out working as a loader, which could be pretty physically demanding.
For the last half of my stay with the company, I worked in the assembly department which at least amounted to a little bit more than just being used for a pack mule.
I was never offered full-time hours or was even trained in any of the power equipment.
After playing the required waiting game B.S. to see if Id possibly get called back...
I applied at a couple of other Lowes stores for similar positions that I had experience in but only received the " thanks but no thanks" emails shortly afterwards.
Its evident to me that they aren't planning to re-hire any of the laid off employees, unless they were considered "extra special" and who would also get promptly re-absorbed into the workplace.
First close over 50 stores then resort to third party, assembly and maintenance staff?
If the company is a sinking ship, then why take on any passengers?
Suggestion: Swim clear away and don't bother looking back.
