Let's face it, in the business there is very little "variable" cost to shed when it came to the merger. Some combination of businesses, spin off of businesses, and people. People are the most variable commodity and easy to implement a downsizing. The most exposes are Sr Leadership, Mid Leadership and admin support. To continue to deliver on the cost savings that synergy's that were promised more organizational structure work has to be done. Roll the dice and stay or take a look outside if your nervous, it's just business and every business in the USA conducts themselves this way. Nothing new.
I’ve worked for a lot of Fortune 500 companies in my career and have never seen one managed as $4itty as L3. So I’m gone call BS on all companies in the US conducting business the way L3 does!
