Does anyone actually have proof where it says SM must work 2 closing shifts a week? I know it used to be on LP audit, but since that question is no longer part of it where does it say it is a must? I called HR and they don’t have any copies of contract or job descriptions.

NOBODY should have to work a 12 hour shift. This is a retail store, not a hospital or a police/fire department.
Just work a Sunday and and a 12 hour day for truck and solves the problem
I had a shift that called Advice and Counsel and asked if it was true and they told him that it is not a policy at all and that they only expect us to work 45 hours and do what is right for the business. Doesnt mean a DL cant tell you that you need to though especially if any metrics are missing target.
What’s that have to do with this topic?
Photo super gone photo techs gone beauty dupe gone beauty tech gone , day managers gone , district administrator gone , most 3rd shifts gone , district managers gone . Lp agents gone , shift sup cut , cashiers cut , Rx overlap gone ! Area offices gone , field buyers gone , ast managers gone . Look out you could be next . Mostly low performing help left in stores , no talent left to move forward and keep company healthy .
And we were very happy when it came off our assessment. Stupid question for us. If the DMs can’t control when their SMs work then the issue is the DM, now DL.
It use to be part of the LP audit. When it came off, I stopped closing. I already work a bunch of hours to begin with. Easier for me to stay later if I open than just going in for a 9 hour closing shift.
AP has nothing to do with your schedule.
Our AP guy said that it isn’t mandatory but whispered it to a select few managers. Making sure.
Just work your weekend and 1
To get payroll to budget - I work 1 during the week -
You don’t have to work 2 closings. At our meeting last year in December, LP let the cat out of the bag, stating we didn’t have to work any, out DL about sh– her pants.
