Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

All-Store meetings ARE NOT mandatory. If you are scheduled that day then your shift gets changed so you work 5 am to x. But if you are not scheduled full time to work that day, you do not have to go, and they cannot make you or reprimand you. They want you there, to somehow make it look as though you approve, and support the store and the drivel being pushed, but you do not have to go AND CANNOT be forced to go.

Ive been to my share that have spanned 5 diff stores, and 3 diff markets and let me tell you, what a waste of time, resources, words, and sleep. I had one store manager mo–n start by yelling at us all like children saying "we DO NOT have individuals at Lowe';s!" In a military, threatening, and intimidating lecture.

2 seconds after completing that communist clwon talk, he says, "Ok.. so. At this time, I would like to hand out INDIVIDUAL achievement awards."

Im looking around the room like, "wtf is going on here?" LMAO ... what clowns Lowes are. They dont respect words, definitions, principles, or any guiding tenets or philosophy. They are all dunce cap clowns.

Yea.. I wont be going to this one, or any more. I'll be leaving bLowe's very soon for good and never looking back. Plae has gone to hell in a hurry, and this so-called captain is nothing more than an appeaser with no outlook, plan, or mission. Other than to get himself rich.

Why so suddenly scheduled? Whats it really about?

No me, there is nothing of value ever presented so I’m gonna sit this one out.

It’s basically a meeting about something that could be handled by an email.

Now we’re having 4 all store meetings every year?! WTF Marvin I thought you was all about saving some coin.

A wise business person said “never have a meeting if the only reason is to save time for the person running it.” That’s all these are.

It’s “leaders” talking about things they don’t believe will happen, and they don’t understand how they will happen because our leaders have only been given a colloquial script.

When is the store meeting scheduled, haven’t been told yet at our store.

We are scheduled to attend the meeting, so its mandatoriy. So I will have to be there at 5:30a, then drive 45 min home, then be back for my 11-close shift. All of our Area staff will be sleeping in and having brunch by then, while I get my a– kicked by customers with no sleep.

Just don’t show up. They cannot force you to attend this meeting unless you are on the schedule to work during that time.

Our wall flower store manager probably fear public speaking so he s—s at it badly. On the positive side we have so many new managers, supervisors, and associates that if he asks them to introduce themselves there is at least two hours of time. Then we will have the required videos from corporate promising things that won’t happen in the stated timeframe (graphical Genesis is one), Marvin encouraging us to do more with less so he can get richer (like when they told us two half raises were better than one whole raise), McFarland will be absent from all this.

It will be two hours of my life that I won’t be getting back. I’ll probably close that day as well.

But...but I thought Joe said attendance was mandatory for everybody?

There is a better chance I will tranform into a flying nun than attend this garbage.

I have not been to one in almost 10 years.

There is no way i'm waking up at 4am on a sunday morning to attend a meeting about the same b—s— we've heard time and again.

Our cuck store manager will probably make stupid jokes and all the butt kissers will do their fake laughs
