It's over

Kmart could have been a strong brand, but it's clear that it's over.

KMart what a joke!!!
And their executives.....well let's just say dumber than a box of rocks!!!
These guys were just id–ts had no clue on how to merchandise, no people skills and painfully unprofessional.
Bye David Marsella, Karl and Bob you guys did an amazing job of stroking your egos and bringing us down. So glad you don't step in Sears stores anymore.

It WAS a strong brand, but that was before the 90's when they had to re-identify themselves with the new "Big Kmart". When you have to re-brand everything, you've already lost. They should have focused on their stores in the 80's while they were still on top, not after they let Walmart pass them.

Kmart was circling the drain by the time of the 2002 bankruptcy; Fast Eddie buying Kmart on the cheap delayed the inevitable by the better part of two decades.

HE study showed that Kmart was the more valuable of the two brands. Kmart could survive. There's a move in play.
