Thread regarding Weatherford International Ltd. layoffs

How much will this project win cost the banks?

Petrobras Fishing Services Tender. BHGE bid $148M and SLB bid $136M and we bid $87M?

Yep it’s common practise in Petrobras that all bids are made public. Sad isn’t it.

So you have knowledge of everyone's bid that was submitted? Very interesting.

It's not hard to believe that WFT has underbid this in desperation and needing major announcements of contract wins to project a positive image to the street. However I do question your reported discrepancy between the bids and your knowledge of the same. Believe there is just as much BS in your initial comment as there was in WFT bid.

All fake news. WFD was not the low bidder but selected by PetroBras for our superior technology and US support! This will be an extremely profitable venture for both Petrobras and WFD!

God bless WFD and god bless President Trump! USA! USA!

You know why wft won the bid? Because no one else wants it. Wft has already been thru the squirt can for "violations" no one else would touch this with a 10ft pole. Jump right in desperate

This will be great to watch. Wft will get screwed 6 ways from sunday on everything from office shop and staff housing to transport and repairs. A few americans will go to jail in brazil for stupid. The payments will get slower and slower until all the tools get seized in customs. Hopefully they have the next victim lined up

Going to these levels of pricing is desperation. Aberdeen are the same and its only a matter of weeks before this whole thing comes tumbling down.

Where will the tools and equipment come from?

If you're bidding against yourself, you're always gonna be a winner... Just a stick your finger in the air price and quote some low ball number You can make it up on the volume.

Who cares about profitability when you’re after market perception. Wall Street will love this, our managers will make their bonuses and I will keep my job shipping old tools all around the world!

One Weatherford- One day at a time!

Same old. We’re told to win at all cost and fix it later. How do you fix it though ? Wish management would tell us

The devil is in the detail, even the worst deal generates bonuses for the hapless management who do them. These parasites know how to play the Weatherford system and milk it dry, in the end it won’t be them understaffed on the job with sub standard badly maintained equipment looking like fools in front of the client. Seems like this debt consolidation has breathed new life into these jerks and they are hell bent on racking up even more.

WFT is only concerned about generating revenue. Take a loss and balloon their debt. Revenue generates bonuses. Then lay off workers because the PL is not making its FOP.

We are going for the record of highest loss for the quarter, so give us a break we are doing our best to grow our debt the Weatherford way
