Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

Telesales heading for customer RUN !

Whoever is in this thread or on this website defending verizon are definitely high ups trying to defend the sh–ty calls and experience that us who are in the sales field with in verizon have too deal with on the Daily this whole 2.0 was built to converts sales reps into customer care like a sneaky tactic and they know it we in SALES HATE it who is coming up with these ideas. It’s those who haven’t sold a single thing or haven’t been in sales in decades this is just causing us tons of escalation and when y’all ask us what’s the problems and we tell you nothing is done ! Everything within this company isn’t going downhill, and I know alot of you sales rep read this site like I do and afraid to speak up just watching !

So much id–tic nonsense in one thread. First, customer care and tech support are NOT stealing your sales.

I'm not gonna go through an hour of troubleshooting, including a back up, factory data reset, and content restore only to tell them "Welp, at this point we've gone through the full scope of troubleshooting, contact sales if you want a new device."

I'm not gonna screw my 5 day and survey results so a "sales expert" can "roll up his sleeves." My goal is to get them a working device. Every now and then, the only solution is to get an upgrade.

Customers almost always appreciate my low pressure approach to upgrading. It literally makes no difference to me if they upgrade or not. I give advice on what might make the most sense for their goals. There is literally zero reason to tell them to call sales especially when it's usually an incompetent sales agent named "Jessica" or "Alex" that transferred the chat to me to begin with.

If you're missing out on sales, then become a better salesman. I guarantee guy that I'm better at your job than you are.

Amusing thread. It's amazing how people cannot put forth a thought without resorting to insults.

Typical cuber. Thinking people that work in retail are not intelligent or can't complete a PowerPoint. Many very educated people start in retail because that's the only way to get their foot in the door. If it doesn't workout, they move on to another company. Many of VZ leaders have retail background. It builds character. Generally, when they get to HQ, they outshine lifers in cubes because the retailer has a sense of urgency and highly motivated. See ya

Intelligent people who are able to construct a grammatically correct sentence do not go into retail.
Most don't do power points either.

The person who is worried about punctuation is probably working in a cube and really knows how to draft a really nice email and put together a super PowerPoint. But they never rolled up their sleeves and been in the business of sales.

How exactly is customer service stealing sales from sales reps??

Customer Service dept is stealing sales away from actual sales reps & meeting their quotas but us at the frontline workers in the store are left out to do all the work: data transfer, troubleshooting, activating phone, etc. This needs to get reported & also the SMs, GMs, AMs who manipulte reps into doing shady stuff to get a sale out in terms of the so called ARD, Pull Through & TMP. Who goves a damn abt the freakin dashboard anyways? That doesn’t pay u, Direct E Statements do. Check that metric & let everything else go to hell. Make ur & go home.

Punctuation is your friend. Really, if you are trying to convey something important, it helps.
