SMDB is apparently some BONY acronym in a small Tech/Ops group. Most likely an Ops group that had a recent team building offsite. None of the acronyms have meanings inside of BONY or in recent business fads, let alone the fifteen year old fads which BONY routinely tracks.
In particular, “SMDB is an example of how Enterprise SM should be” is utterly meaningless, but the right person could build a career on it for sure.
What is SMDB?
Well I work in Brooklyn office and everyone I talk is miserable. I totally agree with horrible management. Supposedly Aug 19 is supposed to be a blood bath with layoffs. Good Luck to everyone.
Original poster, where are you from, some Russian misinformation campaign? I think you made the second from the last comment, too. To be honest, 60% seems quite low. I would say almost everyone wants to leave, but that's not because of the people in that group. That's because of the horrible moral and management at the top 4 layers, not at the group level.
To call out a group at that specific of a level makes me wonder about you. It's one thing to go off on lines of businesses and the people who run them, but to get that specific and spread disinformation on a forum like this? I hope you're proud of yourself badmouthing such a small group.

Whoever you are... I know for a fact that you don't work in that group. SMDB is an example of how Enterprise SM should be. The group has the most talented team ever and it is using the latest technology available. Anyone thinks otherwise is simply an id–t.
