Ralph ran this company into the ground! No long term vision, his only solution was to cut his way to prosperity instead of growing the base business. Very poor customer service and non competitive prices drove customers to the competition. Top down Dallas management and a one size fits all approach caused local markets to deteriorate. The “our way or the highway” attitude of senior management has caused this company to fail.

If dean is back then our trucks keep milk cold, products are never short, all the handhelds are new and all my drivers will be at the branch on time tomorrow.
Pardon me for asking but are you happy in that fortress of f—ing r—ded you live in or just so corporate slammed in the a– reality has left you?
Come south east. This new a–hole was placed to shift everything to food service. That’s the corporate vision and game changer. In 5 years dairy pure will be one of 50 choices on a Sysco product list.

Had to google Dean Foods Amended and Restated Executive Severance Pay plan to find it.

Looks like Ralphie will be getting 2 x current base salary, plus 2 x current annual bonus target, plus $50k for insurance and outplacement.

So $2.1 million plus bonus.

Didn't want to fire people my a–. He fired people right and left whenever anyone told him what he was doimg wouldn't work for "not being team players". And then fired more people when his plans didn't work using them as scapegoats. Terrible CEO who never should have been hired.

He didn't want to fire people and didn't execute productivity very well. He also didn't have a good plan especially with the plant closure related service issues in some markets. Things are turning.
