Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

I have never done anything like this but feel the need to do so. This e-mail is being sent because of your actions toward myself and a lot of others here at the store. Was it worth it?

Dear,Mr. Store manager I have never worked for a more arrogant manager in all my jobs I have ever had. The way you speak to people, is so unprofessional. The way you act like you are above everyone, including the customers, just because you have a larger salary is appalling. You lack in people skills. I have had numerous customers complain about how you speak to them as well. It’s a shame that this store has lost so many good employees all because of you. You speak to everyone like you are above them but we all have noticed you are worse to us females. Your comments to workers that dusting “is women’s work”, really? You do realize that this is 2019 and men can dust too? I find it ridiculous that you didn’t have the courage to give me the write up I had last (the one because I didn’t complete the IRPs and claiming that I am not a team player). It’s not my fault that there wasn’t adequate staffing scheduled to get everything completed. I can’t believe the way you keep raising your voice to employees on the sales floor as well as the best contractor the Pittsboro store has. Everyone knows about your yelling match you had in front of the Pro Services desk with Mr. Contractor. That man spends more money than anyone does and has since the day that store opened. I am surprised he hasn’t taken his business elsewhere or that he didn’t punch you in the face, he should have. The way you undermine the cashiers in front of customers should have gotten you fired a long time ago. And the way you lie to get people fired? Wow! There are numerous witnesses to every incident you have had. You claim to have an open door policy, but you have made it quite clear, that is a lie. I think that my write up was in retaliation for asking you about why you have an employee washing car windows, then you take the one employee who knows one of the busiest departments (me) and move me to the other side of the store. As a store manager you should show respect, you will never get it until you show it, no matter what your “title” is. I also found it quite interesting that during one of the morning meetings, while you stood there and lectured us on how important customer service is, to make contact with every customer, you continued lecturing for no less than 30 mins and let no less than 15 customers walk by and didn’t address a single one. Just to let you know, having a “conversation” with someone is not the same as talking at someone. You never have a conversation, you only talk at people, you have to let them speak too. I know this messes with your God complex but get over it. Do you think that you look important when you walk around the store with your personal phone up to your ear, talking about fishing for hours and hours at work? You really don't. You have ruined the reputation of the Pittsboro store, thanks for that. You will continue to lose good employees if you keep your arrogant attitude up and keep talking to people like you are better than everyone else, you aren’t. Get over yourself.

Mr. Tools and Hardware,you have only been at this store for a short time and have also made a not so good name for yourself. The way you speak to your co-workers is just as bad as David. Just because you came in as a manager does not give you the right to speak to people the way you do. It’s a shame that customers are making complaints because of it, yes, we all know about them. The ethics committee would be interested to know about the remarks you have made to some of the employees as well as comments that have been said to the customers (talking about co-worker’s hygiene because you are concerned with appearance, telling people to watch certain races because you think they might be stealing, and making crude comments to women customers). As a manager, you “should” know that if you want to address another co-worker that you do not do that on the floor, in front of the customer. You shouldn’t need the customer to tell you that, like they have. Until you stop trying to micro manage and start showing respect, you will not get it. Just remember that all of the workers that you are “the boss” of (yes words right out of your mouth) have been working with Lowes no less than 6 years, they know how to do their jobs.

It's about deflecting. Moving the heat from him to you. He's getting pressure above because he's not doing his job so he cracks the whip. This is the sign of a poor manager. His inability to control his emotions from the pressure above is making you miserable. Its the better you than me thinking. Lowe's a low level job now. Stop crying about it and move on.
