Lowe's notified all of our truck unloading team that their jobs would be terminated in September. Four of the seven unloaders walked off the job tonight. Rumour has it the night stockers are being eliminated as well. No reasonable long term strategy for the company. Steady downhill for the four years I've worked here. All about the stock, screw the customers and employees.

4am does not cut it. My store they come in at that time and the floor associates are putting away freight all day. There is no time to help customers and the Freight team takes frequent breaks or goes home early. How are we suppose to drive sales when we are tasking freight all day. Irps ims dshr pulling internet orders all with less help. Marvin is running this company into the ground
Is the oshkosh Wisconsin lowes store laying off night stocker to
So if your store does not meet the criteria will stockers stay at 4 am?
My store just got their night crew back this past year (newer store). 35m needed. Was told 40m for a second merch ASM. Not sure if numbers still apply with most recent management changes of adding in more supervisors.
Sorry, I meant to say 40, not 45. Annualized sales of at least $40 million used to be the required threshold for getting a night crew. I’m pretty sure that’s still in place.

Considering there is a giant Amazon processing center, UPS, FedEx, beverage and other distribution centers within a 30 min drive. There is no reason to work overnight at Lowe’s. The other jobs are union with better benefits.
i assume similar to what they did to get the 4th ASM......nothing is clear because corporate thinks they operate inside a spy novel and are all a bunch of secret agent men.....but i think its in the low 40 millions for store volume. but who knows. store manager didnt even know details because corporate was secretive about even that! id assume if you havent been given the ultimatum to go overnights or be laid off...then you arent going overnights...but who knows. transparency isnt corporates strong suit.
What is the criteria that must be met for stores in order to go overnight. I’m an unloader in a Missouri Lowe’s and would like to know as much as possible.
not accurate information!!! unloaders and stockers are now going to be part of one task team and go overnights if your store meets the criteria to go overnights. anyone in those positions will only be laid off if they refuse their new shift assignment—which i assume many will refuse to go overnights. i think in the stores that dont go to overnights these individuals will now be coming in at 4am.
How is that supposed to work - getting rid of the Unloaders and Night Receiver/Stockers? Are these employees supposed to be replaced by the “One Task Team”? In which state are you located?
