Deliveries and RTM are next

I have heard through a certain manager"that deliveries will be outsourced, as well as RTM Associates.

I have been with the company for 16 years if I still have a position I will start my 17th in a few months. I was told years ago when my manager told me I would be in charge of doing IRP's and coming in at 3am to complete those and then working my actual job which is RTM that he was trying to help me keep a position with the company as in his words they were going to be eliminating all non-sales positions well if that's the case when are they getting rid of the store managers I have never seen a store manager make a sale unless he happens to jump on a register for code 3 which has happened since there aren't enough cashiers either … I know RTM is next on the chopping block even though most RTM's bring back anywhere from 500,000 to a million running credit for their stores product how unfortunate that Marvin doesn't feel that having tenured employees is a blessing not a curse

Does anyone know when RTM is going away?

never ceases to amaze me how wage slaves attack other wage slaves. marvin makes like 3,000 a minute......yet we attack fellow employees as being "overpaid" because they make like 20 bucks an HOUR!!

until the common man can unite.....this practice of destroying the middle class and all wealth being absorbed into the ultra wealthy will continue.

Get a grip, delivery is not overpaid and you don't know what you're talking about. You obviously don't work in delivery and worship the Great Turtle's all mighty word. You're promoting the loss of legitimate jobs to just then hand them over to other companies who are also abusing the hell out of their employees by making them independent contractors. This is how the whole world will work one day if it's allowed to continue down this path. You may feel safe now, but think deep down, they're already planning on how to make YOUR job (no matter what position), which they certainly feel you're being overpaid for, will one day be taken over by third party independent contractors. We have had the same 5 delivery guys for 5+ years, our senior driver with 18+ years.

I hope so, delivery is too overpaid and a drain on the company.

There has been talks for years about RTM going away. As far as Delivery several markets are 3rd party. I totally understand why we cant pay drivers a competitive wage and their is a huge liability to empty drivers. Its a high turn over position it would take a lot of burden off the store.

Delivery is out sourced at some stores already for many years...if you want to know whats going to happen just look at home depot

Delivery outsourcing started started two years ago but in select markets. It will remain a mixture of in-house and 3rd party for the time being.
