Thread regarding Verizon Wireless layoffs

How does “Dashboard”, “Pays” a Rep?

So if one is amongst, lets say top three reps in the store, all metrics looking good etc, then ur praised for all the efforts one did to get there (lil to no money made)

On the other hand, one could be at the very bottom of the ranker( getting a good commission even multiplier sometimes)

And yet the management wants one to focus on the leaderboard. How does it makes literally any sense for one to even give a damn abt the dashboard then? Reason could be only one in my opinion which is they don’t want anyone to make any money, just help conpany lower down the costs bu getting them paid still, since they look in front of their bosses up the chain?

Though I know everyone will have dffrnt opinions, but lets see what comments management team folks put here. It’s all a VERY big joke here.

That is alarming, I am not with vzw anymore but if the leaderboards "leaders" aren't making money and the bottom reps on the board are and you are being coached or worse, written up based on the metrics that set forth that put you on the bottom and the top reps on the board are broke but being "praised" they're not even trying to hide it anymore, it doesn't get more obvious than that folks, the writing is literally on the wall. Simply put they like you at the top of the leaderboards bc (based on what I've read here) the leaders on top of the leaderboards have very small if any commission payouts (big red is happy bc they are saving enormous amounts of money) bottom of the leaderboards have big commission payouts (more money big red has to pay you, which they don't like) once upon a time the leaderboards were an actual depiction of who was hitting the metrics and the multipliers......for those in the back, if the big screen in the back don't line up with metrics and your money, that is the literal writing on the literal wall that I'm referring to. Best of luck to all who are overstressed, overworked and underpaid, I really do feel for you

This has been my struggle as a rep over the past year. I am to the point where I could give a f— less about the leaderboard. All I care about is my commission check. This year I have have made significantly more money than any rep on my store commission wise but yet I am middle to bottom of the pack leaderboard wise. I sell with integrity and never force products onto my customers. I have a high RIS and many repeat customers. I have been with Verizon for 9 years. Cool thing is my managers have been easy on me as they know I am the one who actually helps them make a check. Unfortunately this is not the case with most managers in the company. I say to those people who are struggling with this delima, quit worrying about KPIs and leaderboard. Worry about supporting yourself and your family. If Verizon wants to f— the people making the most money, f— em.

Stop argueing, I'm too busy everyday helping the open box fedex customers,putting the active sim in their replacement phones so it will activate,or calling the IVR number for them, after telling them we don't have cellbrites anymore they stand their helpless. Most say I want to stay in the store to do it "Because " if it doesn't work" you can do it? All with a staggering quota you have to reach. No one even brings up Tech Coach, and if you do they still object even if they pay for it..it's called free tech support,until Verizon instructs these people it's not done in the stores anymore it will continue, not because " I'm not tech savvy" excuse because Verizon doesn't communicate distinctly.

Verizon retail has always been like that... (ex: balanced score card). It’s because management is held to various metrics instead of actual revenue for whatever insane reason.
