Thread regarding Ford layoffs

“Smart Mobility” vs Lyft

Ford is losing a $Billion per year on “Smart Mobility.” General Motors invested $500 Million in Lyft, and that company’s market cap is already over $17 Billion. What is wrong with Ford’s management that they allow this failure to continue???? Lay off that whole group and divert the $1 Billion to Quality Assurance in Chicago SUV plant!

Chicago is the result of all the ridiculous decisions being made by consultants, sycophant mgt., and 'kids' with no experience thinking you can slice and dice the vehicle development cycle. I can't believe the media has not reported that nearly every vehicle coming off the line has to be sent to the repair tent or to Flat Rock to be fixed. Make no mistake, this is only the beginning. This will only get worse as other vehicles have done the same and worse including much of the new technology Hackett keeps claiming is on the horizon and will save Ford. Everyday now you have the new SRD regime making random and desperate decisions because they have no clue as to what they are doing. It is shocking. Those left with experience sit silently in fear because Hackett has made it clear the children and consultants are running the company. If you speak up, you will be eliminated. We are now looking at wave after wave of failed launches and recalls. I hope the BOD or Bill Ford will smarten up and see the con game that is happening.

Chicago launch is an epic disaster. In my many years, I've never seen a launch so bad that they tapped this many people to go help.
