Hey just off a call about the acquisition, anyone any idea what our future holds? Can a company come in and just continue to employee us under their contracts or will we be given the option of taking a redundancy?

If you are with SymC for only a short number of years, get going now as any package would be relatively small. If you’re there a considerable time you sit and see what the new regime offers you, either to stay for a temporary period or given severance.
Depends on role but support, sales, HR probably gone but EMEA laws make it harder to fire takes forever. If your a developer on good product then you ok but if acquiring company already has that role regardless of country youll be gone. Never stop improving your skills and market worth. Put yourself first companies don't care about you.
