Man this $h!t is depressing. I know it’s coming and I need to be planning for it but I’m already struggling to barley make ends meet on this income HOWEVER this “certain skill” is very limited. Can’t really go many other places that will pay me half what I make here. No I’m not an id–t but my resume is just Nabisco where else can I go to make a decent living with only cookie and cracker experience D@MNIT TO H3LL I’m F#CKED!

My new position....sales for another consumers goods company! This company is NOT DSD, warehouse! When I interviewed I simply said I was interested in getting out before things crashed! They had already contacted me when I put the word out to other vendors.
My degree came in handy, had to have one! Company car, 401k, pd vacation, flex days, health benefits....not a bad gig! Most importantly, I’m respected!! Something that just doesn’t happen anymore at Mondelez! When senior management comes to town, they ought to pay attention!
If you are a merchandiser....look at fed ex, ups, Amazon, DHL. Also brokers will have opportunities. Yes, this ship is sinking! Kudos to you for recognizing it! I was a rep for 18 years and decided to be proactive. I’m now happily employed elsewhere, lateral move financially.
I would have take a step down if I needed to but luckily didn’t have to. Before I left I made sure my FT merchandiser was safe and we got her a spot with serve u. Lateral move financially but she is sooooo much happier! Mondelez really treated people like dirt! Make your move now, you won’t get a decent settlement and whatever you get will be gone before you find something!
As hard it as seems, I can promise you, you will be so much happier without Mondelez!! I could not believe what an improvement it made in my life! It’s unimaginable that people are sticking around, and that some are still in denial! Wow!! Good for you!! Life is better on the other side!!
