The most durable of Kmarts after the rest of the state closed, this little Kmart still stands.
I think corporate forgot that this little store in the middle of nowhere exists.

Sorry everyone i found out 9124 is closing !
Mis-directed sears merchandise sent to Kmart stores has been going on for almost as long as sears and Kmart have been together. Nothing new here.
I am convinced the Kokomo, IN Kmart is where they send the rejected merch from all other K & S locations, because we have had random Sears-tagged items show up on racks there before. The good news, I guess, is we finally got the Adam Levine line, but I think it's just old items that didn't sell at a more prestigious K location.
One little Kmart left in Oregon located in The Dalles, in the middle of nowhere as well. 300 miles away in Burlington, Washington is the second Kmart left in the Pacific Northwest...that’s it. The rest of them have all closed and are gone.
I just let a friend at corporate know about this store. They will now be closing it next round. Thank you.
Looking at the P/L it is not much below break even. So I guess there is hope for this one.
Corporate forgot about this store a long time ago. It has the same problems stores not in the top 50 have: it is deprived of merchandise the top 50 are priority given by corporate and nothing has changed with Ttansformco. Lights dim down an hour before closing and in the summer the air-conditioning shuts off at 6 p.m.
