This is a lie. Nothing strategic about it since they moved part of it to Scranton. What they do is outsource inexperience and instead give work to current employees who do not even do that type of work. Example, accounting work such as paying vendors to your Warehouse employees since you got rid of your local accounting office and only kept 3 people who only do the records and are of no real help. This is an accounting group who allowed thousands upon thousands of dollars to go unpaid for the last six or more years only to write off majority of it. All this created layoffs and reduced hours for several El Paso departments with employees having to use their discretionary or vacation hours or taking unpaid. Really, who has $60 or more dollars to give UPS just so they can make up for their mistakes and still providing all management their bonuses and no reduction in their pay. Hourly employees take the heat with management telling us and acting like it is no big deal to give back your money while they give up nothing whole at the same time traveling. Coppell TX office has been working on reduced hours since January. Company tells you nothing and you hear about it from your friendship with them. Company does not want employees talking to each other and when you find out, they play dumb and call the rumors and something else when found to be true. They run a dictatorship environment and now we can't even have plug in radios, want you to use USB connected or battery operated while at the same time telling you now dellphones. Stupid???? YES!!!! And, typical UPS. This is a poorly run company especially the Supply Chain Offices.
