Get ready if you thought the last round of raises was unfair because this next round is most likely going to see lots of people walking out again. Remember you read it here first. SMH on this one and wondering whos coming up with these things. Before we lose a ton of people they should just come out and tell everyone who and when all these raises are going to go into effect.

Anybody getting a lift certification at our club is being bumped up to 15.00 an hour, and if you already have it and are not making that much you get bumped up to that rate. Complete and total BS been there 7 yrs and now I find out new hires are making more than me. Started to look for some place else that will appreciate my skills be cause this doesn't.
forklift raises for only the senior drivers. Oh how I wish this were true, I have been driving longer than many drivers are old. For as many years myself and many other drivers have made the case that as drivers we deserved more pay because of the skill needed to move thousands upon thousands of pallets with little or no damage. After all these years HO has finally recognized that drivers should get paid more. This should be a time of rejoicing but for guys like me it wont be because due to the time we have with the company we already make more than what drivers wages will be moved to. So as I applaud the raise and am happy for others who will benefit it will be bitter sweet for after 25 plus years of driving I will not be rewarded for excellent service but will instead be forced to see mediocre drivers get raises for a job they only do ok at....
This raise is for the senior lift drivers. Only 2-3 per shift get the raise and it's with a minimum of 90 days with a license... the most experienced get the raises
To the people that down voted my comment about coworkers being too incompetent to drive lifts.... You're probably exactly what I'm talking about. Probably worked there a year or even way longer too. They should coach you into a new position or fire you if you're a merchandiser and can't drive lift or they should pay all the lift drivers more than you guys.
I don't want to drive a forklift at all. The stress is not worth it all. Trying put all that freight up in a tiny amount of time and constantly being reminded I'll be fired if I mess up.
I'd rather hand stack #10 cans. You know, be out there stocking with my coworkers that are too incompetent to drive lifts.

The position is not just driving the forklift but extra merchandising responsibilities such as features/end caps/resets, etc.
Not all drives will be getting raises. How is that fair ?

Not a raise, but a new position...Forklift/merchandiser. Position starts at $15 per hour. Two for the morning, two for the evening.
well...if the new drivers get extra for driving it is about time...been here a million years so I make more than fifteen. It does seem unfair new drivers would extra and not old farts like me who have nearly flawless driving records. But even if I do not see an increase for driving I am glad the new guys will be getting more for their skill ...even though almost certainly they will never drive as well as an old fart like me,,,,
The new drivers shouldn't start at 15. This company is so dam backwards you pay for experience not accidents.
Why would someone walk out because someone else gets a bump in pay? The position is open for anyone to apply. Feel free to put in for the position.
It’s a driver position that starts at $15. All of our drivers make more than that. I don’t think it will make an impact.
