Haha good one (see below)! We have so many associates not red vest ready it looks like that’s exactly what we’ve done; put a name tag on a customer and made them ring up sales. I went past the front end earlier today and didn’t see a single red vest!

EXTREMELY understaffed.
No lumber staff, and front end sends every call, customer, and issue to the Pro desk.
Pro has no one.
CASHIERS ARE SOLO IN LUMBER ON WEEKENDS ...
The guy above is 100% correct. Stop enabling. Play dumb, dont recert for P.E., and do as little as possible. LET IT ALL FAIL. Let Marvs system work 100%, so it all collapses in rapid pace!
Negative comps continued this past weekend.
We text each other using our personal phones as they are scheduling us with no overlap to tell others about cpo issues or questions from customers.
I don't even get upset anymore I just tell the person your number 9 or 11 etc. be with you as soon as I can .The good thing is usually only have to make it to number four and all the other ones get mad and leave
Today at my store we had the cashier of three weeks training the new cashier of five days.
I work at a store that is usually in the top 10 in the company for gross sales.
We are staffed for a store with half that...but, as long as we make the numbers, situation will not improve.
However, we ended up Labor Day week and began the following week with negative comps, a couple days at over 30% less than last year.
You're complaining that one associate is covering 4-5 departments or are being pulled off the floor to be cashiers, but the associates that are doing that are enabling this company short staffing the stores. Play dumb, don't get certified to be a cashier and if you already are be the worst you can be at it. Customer complains tell them to call corporate office and demand to speak to the actual executives not an operator, they are the ones responsible not customer care which is worthless.
You must've just started working at lowes. If you can't handle working by yourself this wrong job for you.
We can’t get anything done. One cashier per area per shift, if one calls off they are pulling from the sales floor. Associates cover 4 and 5 departments. Customers are angry, can’t find managers. Customers threaten associates and are allowed back in the store because they were having a “bad day” associates going to lunch and not returning, no training, just throw bodies into the problem until it’s fixed, no leadership, management can’t be found.
