For anyone who stumbles across this page while re-searching and considering applying at Lowes, If you are considering head cashier or cashier, keep looking. Don't bother with this place. You will not be trained, the ones who ARE suppose to train you ? They haven't been properly trained, They will throw you up front and you will fail and it will be one of the worst job experiences you will ever have, You won't stay anyway because it's not worth it, You deserve better. A complete waste of your time, They have a huge turn-over and are always hiring for those positions for a reason

Former Associate here - started as a part time cashier / Returns / Customer Service - then Fulltime head cashier to depart manager. Was let go last year due to the CSA 5. Applied for Part Time cashier in 5 different stores nothing but Thanks But No Thanks emails. Applied at The Home Depot for cashier became PT head cashier.
So true, at my store the 3 week cashier was training the 5 day cashier. I walked past to see a confused customer because no one up front was wearing a red vest.
True. There is high turnover at the stores closest to me. The new Cashiers train the newer Cashiers.
