How did it go? Heard Sal was on?

@2izg - you hit the nail on the head! I heard his attempt to sound authoritative (two town halls) his oration is bad, comes across as an honest type that just cannot express themselves. Excessive use of "you know" hides a low vocabulary, I will give the benefit of doubt for now, I am sure the man is 'sharp as lemon', I just hope he does not act like one.
Well for someone who can hardly string a coherent sentence together - you know (imagine taking him in to see a customer), you know, we have great people, can we talk about your digital journey, I have a proven playbook. He was right about one thing though, I don't believe him! Old Mike has appointed a boy to the job. If we were not all doomed before we are now.
I thought it was refreshing compared with Lawrie and his cronies. I would say give him a chance. True the Maruf guy gave no real update about the region, must not have wanted to say too much in front of the new boss which might not be good for him since Mike said wanted to hear it as it is rather than what you think he wants to hear.
Sal possibly mention growth on call 3.6% reduction in forecast and probably say "Not Great,,, Not Terrible...." lol
He talked a lot about meaning what you say, an example he used was that if you say a meeting will start at 9, it should start at 9 (the call started 5 minutes late). The meeting then closed after half an hour without a UKIIMEA update or any input from Maruf (other than to say Mike was wonderful). Very disappointing.
@117wpItu-1fzb actually thats not true.
He talked about reward, recognition and promotion.
He talked about wanting to come to work and needing to fulfil what we promised to customers.
He did this in both the video and the UK talk.
He has a talk with Cyber today, I expect he will say exactly the same thing.
As I wrote on this thread earlier, he also said that basically we won't believe him.... and I still don't.
I will believe him when I see some things happen for real - which will be a little way off yet.
First of all I look forward to seeing all of L2/L3 get nuked.
People, People its all about the People. Next call run a sweep-stake on how many times he says people to the plebs.
Scripted questions, scripted answers.
Nothing that we wanted to hear, WFR, Wages, Morale etc. even though he mentioned about keeping staff happy (or something)
I gave up after about 10 mins, got fed up up of Sal's every other word being "You know"
Sal has a script. There is a video "interview" thing out there and he told the UK the same thing.
He said many many wonderful things and told us that we probably don't believe him.
We don't.
There was lots of questions around brexit and how bionix and platform DXC can help in that regards.
