You say Grafton was underperforming and yet they remodeled it?

Oh yeah its like putting lipstick on a pig before you sell it. A lot of stores are getting that pre sale treatment right now.

To be fair, Grafton was underperforming for a long time, averaging about 100 gg. The near by retail store was handed to an agent when the lease was up. The writing had been there for a long time.

"I would say any new store being built or the old stores being remodeled aren't going anywhere in he foreseeable future."

@2sbp - What hand do you have in this? Because this statement you made is flat out wrong. Next Gen stores are designed to be easily assumed by an indirect and makes them more attractive as they are turn key for the indirect taking it over. They are also cheap to mainatin unlike the failed Smart Stores which were very costly to maintain.

So do you work in real estate? Or reatail operations? Because remodeled stores are absolutley not safe. I work in real estate and know this.

0% sales growth. They're destroying themselves.

Having had a hand in the retail stores I will say this. The general idea is to have more of the "rural" stores handed off to indirect agents (or closed if no indirect wants to take it over) and keep a few smaller corporate stores in the major metro areas. I would say any new store being built or the old stores being remodeled aren't going anywhere in he foreseeable future.

This model lets Verizon slim down their employee & operational expenses while still making the same amount of money off their major revenue source.....the services they offer.
