I saw a post on here talking about a back up mms. Is there really a position like that? Does any other store have a back up MMS? They stated that they don't get the same pay they still get the reg pay they always get but I wasn't aware of a position like that. I do back up mms all the time but it's not a position I am just ask to help out and I do not make 18 dollars hour I make 11. Just wondering if maybe I should be asking questions here? Lol

MSS' have been sharing their override numbers forever in our club...such a joke FYI: we have five, 2 morning 1 mid and 2 closing
Block scheduling is your answer. The position only calls for two morning and two evening MSS's. The problem is when there is only one because of schedule/call out/Vaca and now you need someone to cover their lunch.
Which is the reason why they should have a few part time MSS's to fill the gaps.
I've been asked and I refuse to cover for the cos's. I don't get their pay. Central office needs to hire more people. You keep covering and making do and nothing will ever change.
There isn't an official position. Most of the desk used to have override capabilities for us but that was taken away. Theoretically we shouldn't 'need a backup' but it just takes one absence.
Some people still back up the cos but use their numbers if they aren't on lunch. It's messed up. Plus we aren't getting their pay or even part if it since we are filling in.
Some of our floor leads and managers have zero front end experience so they still end up asking cashiers, desk associates, etc. OR in a few cases it's been so long since the front end that they ask.

Other leads should be helping covering for the MTL but they don't have the front end knowledge. Who at HO comes up with these ideas.
We dont have a backup or need a backup msl. I'm not sure why anyone would need one
Yeah I thought the same. Yet some do work a cos but don't get paid for it. It is what it is
No such position. You are either an mms or cashier.
