Contractor Furloughs October 2019

We were informed that contractors would be "furloughed" for around 3 weeks in November. Looks like the cost cutting is getting very serious at Fresenius Kidney Care. I am betting the executives will get replaced soon by the board of directors if things can't be turned around.

Will contractors be notified in advanced? Does it affect all contractors?

Replacing management would be the first, and best place to start. Sadly mis-managed. Good 'ol boy mentality, with the wrong people in decision making positions. Pilot after pilot, you would think that this was a start-up company the way it's managed. Sad for those who were affected. May you find bigger and better things, and be valued for the hard work and dedication that you provided to a company that didn't appreciate you.

This is a very common practice that happens at many companies. If you are a contractor and you don't like getting no PTO and expect to be paid during the dead of december when there is nothing going on and everyone's on PTO you are also able seek a perm job or request to be converted.

Or if you like the contracting lifestyle, enjoy some time off with your family.
