I have been to several different clubs and am now curious if maintenance and Lot attendants are short-staffed at many clubs.

We have 2 maintenance at my store and restrooms are messy and yucks... cart guys are only 4 but the other guy is in click and pull. TBC are supposed to help but they are busy too. Managers and team leads need to jump in but they just ask other associates to do it. They are not even trying to hire in maintenance. I work in maintenance before and get tired of not having help. So I just move to gas station which I get pay the same amount but less work. Well F that I’m taking 11.22 and just stand outside enjoy the nature and smile with members and get payed. 😁😁😁
Workday system takes 30-40 days for hiring
The are putting it all on TBC team to do carts. They only have to cart associates and the work in the evening. Being a tire tech an being told to push carts does s—. They need to over hire for those jobs.
At my Club seems like Maintenance is the only department that management avoids hiring for had 3 guys for 5 years went down to 1 last week and next we are down to none if there isn't a maintenance on duty they just the trash pile up and hang out of order signs in the bathrooms until one comes in
We are short staffed in both areas...our bathrooms are disgusting and the club is dirty, especially the floors. We seem to always be running out of carts...even if we have two cart people. They are lazy and b–ch and complain about each other all the time, always blaming the other for falling behind. Perhaps they should spend more time doing their job instead of hanging around smoking.. We have inept people at the door also. Our Sam's share has dropped substantially. down to $93 for Ft...MX voices says it all...long lines...dirty bathrooms, rude associates...
My club technically has 4 cart attendants but only the full timer actually works. 1 is on LOA and we don’t know if he’s coming back and the other 2 have horrible attendance issues so we never know when they’re gonna show up but management doesn’t want to fire them because they can’t seem to hire any more guys. All the ones that were supposed to be hired either didn’t pass the background check or assessment so we’re screwed because it’s going to be even worse trying to hire for carts because it’s starting to get cold outside.
They sure are at this one in terms of lot attendants. Every day it's a pretty safe bet to expect that they're going to make an announcement over the PA for all available associates to go out to the parking lot to fetch carts. As for maintenance, I've only ever seen one person tasked with those responsibilities, and on some days, no one seems to be on the clock in that capacity.
