Weakest contract offering ever!!! CWA should be ashamed for bargaining away everything. And yes that means their own jobs. We might as well be at will employees. Hopefully it will NOT be ratified and send them back to the bargaining table!

Who knew Frontier would come to Connecticut just to burn it down.

2yr cont in ct is probably the longest the company would go knowing bankruptcy is coming in 2021! not on strike in ct but that light at end of the tunnel is definitely a train! protecting consumer/sales as best as our union can, no protection for plant side. but now 2 yrs to get new employment

Did they combine CO techs also? I’m assuming COTs are SS1 in Connecticut?

Guess that guy was right, and he shouldn't STFU. 450 gone. One tech out by combining all work groups with tricks and night shifts. All grievances will be deleted. Connecticut's final Frontier!

Any eligible employee who doesn’t take the severance is misinformed or stupid .Terrible company that screws it’s employees any way it can . Only a 2 year contract because they will be out of business when debt payment is due . This will be the last severance chance where you will enhance your pension like this guaranteed

Does the CT CWA normally do a two year contract, or is that what Frontier offered?

CT: Tentative agreement made. Our national protected the consumer side.....So we will sign the contract, 100 or so will take the buyout, and Frontier will surplus/layoff the other techs they want out within 3-6 months.....probably around 400 more techs. BUT they will have a guaranteed job offer....most likely on the consumer side if they want to stay. Yes, our union is "heavy" on the consumer side, so they will always have protection. Meanwhile outside techs have contractors doing their job with no contractual reimbursement. (overtime) The national does not support a 2nd arbitration, because of all the side deals made to protect consumer. Frontier did a good job turning us against one another. One way or another 400-500 outside techs will be gone within 6 months.

Face it. The company is trying to do whatever they can to cut costs. That includes forcing out experienced techs/reps/inside/outside and replacing with new hires that do not know anything. Turnover is high so you have the inexperienced training the inexperienced and wonder why mistakes are being made. Vendors are a complete joke as well!

What happens to the Florida techs when the 90 days expire?

We are close to finalizing a new deal. Please be patient as we work out the details. We have management against the ropes and they are bleeding profusely. A new deal should be signed within the next 2 weeks. Stay strong IBEW!

So is Connecticut on strike or not?

You think a contract where they get rid of 600 field workers and offer them a job somewhere is a good thing? The CWA in CT is making this seem good, but it’s not.
