Today was a sad day for assistant managers. My husband got the news today, after 10+ years with the bank (he’s an Assistant Manager) he will likely lose his job. We know that there will be generous severance (I think it’s one week per each year of tenure at USB) – we’ll know more tomorrow when he gets things in writing. I think they mentioned COBRA availability which is a good thing as we have no other health insurance – I know it’s very expensive but we’ll have to do it.
We also think that he’d be able to apply for some positions that they are creating – I will post more about that tomorrow – if he applies and gets that job he may be the same or better off, we just do not know what kind of jobs are going to be available for people. Finally, they are chasing teller roles and discontinuing full time things so, it’s bad for tellers too.
